Kirsten, birthmother

I thought that it represented so very well that reunion is not a “happily ever after story. I thought you captured the “seeming indifference” of some adoptees (your son) as opposed to the longing and angst of the birthparent. Another thing you covered was the pervasive guilt of al of those who buckled under to the dictates of society, your sister and mother, as well. The irony of reunion is that it is such a joyous occasion.”
Leslie, birthmother

“I just finished watching your movies…very well done. I was happy to see they were not done as “pity party for birthmoms” or “poor me”. It’s your story and it represents so many others. We have to spread the word, we do have a right to know the truth; it will set us free.”
Bertie, adoptee

“Lost and Found” gave me a lot to think about, as I have not had any experience with adoption. I always thought it was so great when someone adopted, never thinking about the mother giving her baby up.”
